The Ambassador of Switzerland to Belarus, Kristina Honegger-Zolotukhin, is completing her diplomatic mission. On this occasion, on July 20, she met with Minister of Foreign Affairs Maxim Ryzhenkov in Minsk.

As reported by the MFA press service, during the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and possible prospects for the development of Belarusian-Swiss relations in the context of the current international situation. They also exchanged views on events in the region and the world.
Switzerland remains one of the few European countries that, after the start of mass repressions in Belarus, sent a full-fledged ambassador to Minsk, not a charge d'affaires. Shortly after Kristina Honegger-Zolotukhin began her work in 2022, Natalya Hershe, a Swiss citizen of Belarusian origin who had been convicted on political grounds, was released.
