Driver asked "Belorusneft" why their gas stations lack sanitary pads — the company's response angered Belarusian women
"And is beer mandatory for sale? Or sunflower seeds?"
A Belarusian woman couldn't find sanitary pads at a "Belorusneft" gas station and asked the chain of petrol stations why feminine hygiene products were not on the shelves.
"This category of products is not mandatory for sale," commented representatives of the gas station chain in Threads.
"Why does the gas station's account respond as if neither women nor menstruation exist in Belarus?" clients wondered.
Women are convinced that in 2026, claiming that sanitary pads at gas stations are "not an essential item" is a shame and disgrace.
"Is beer mandatory for sale? Or sunflower seeds? Do sanitary pads take up so much space? Are you serious? Or do you think there's no demand? You have many women among your staff," expressed Irina, who couldn't find hygiene products at a gas station on her way, barely concealing her indignation.
It turned out that she was not the only Belarusian woman who encountered such an unpleasant surprise.
After this, the woman specifically started checking "Belorusneft" gas stations and found that this problem wasn't limited to just one location. In addition, some points also lacked diapers for children, which is relevant for young mother drivers.
"Near some villages, the gas station is the only shop";
"Sometimes a person travels a long distance and doesn't have time to go into the city looking for shops and shopping centers, and gas stations should be equipped with a basic set of hygiene products";

"In civilized places, pads and tampons are available for free in restrooms; here, you can't even buy them for money. What kind of mess is this?" commentators couldn't understand the company's position.
Meanwhile, employees of some other companies seized the opportunity and wrote that, unlike "Belorusneft", they have all necessary goods for sale.
