Father and son from Russian Buryatia went to fight against Ukraine. Both died
In the Russian region of Buryatia, one family lost two of its members in a short period of time. A father and son voluntarily went to fight in Ukraine, and both died there, writes the Ukrainian project "I Want to Live".

The elder, 42-year-old Anatoly Mylnikov, was seriously wounded in late December 2025 during combat operations. He was taken to the hospital, where doctors tried to save his life, but on March 13, the man died from his injuries.
His son, 22-year-old Ruslan Mylnikov, had died even earlier — on December 12 in the Donetsk region. He had been fighting for over a year. The father joined the war later, signing a contract in the autumn of 2025.
Thus, only a few weeks passed between the son's death and the father's fatal wounding, and in just three months, the family lost two men. Ruslan left behind a small son, who is about four years old.
It is reported that both went to war voluntarily. After their deaths, state payments and symbolic commemorations, for example, in educational institutions, are usually provided.
