The IC again intimidates Belarusians abroad over Freedom Day participation
The Investigative Committee again threatens Belarusians abroad with criminal cases and property confiscation due to participation in events for Freedom Day (March 25). The official Telegram channel of the agency published a corresponding statement.

According to the IC, the celebration of Freedom Day contributes to the "formation of a negative information background around the Republic of Belarus".
The agency threatens to identify participants, despite "glasses, masks, caps".
In 2025, security forces announced the identification of 207 participants. In absentia criminal cases were initiated under the article on causing damage to the national security of Belarus (part 2 of article 361‑4 of the Criminal Code).
