Vilnius Airport's Operations Disrupted on Tuesday Night

The airport was out of operation for an hour.

Vilnius Airport's operations were disrupted on Tuesday night, reports LRT.

At 2 AM, there were "detections in potentially aviation-hazardous zones of navigational marks characteristic of balloons, which led to temporary airspace restrictions being imposed over Vilnius Airport."

Airport operations were restored at 03:12 after the airspace restrictions were lifted.

Possible delays for individual flights occurred due to disrupted crew and aircraft rotation.
