Propagandists asked Belarusians if YouTube should be blocked in the country
Propaganda, outraged by the blocking of Belt, ONT, STB channels, went to ask Hrodna residents if YouTube should be blocked in the country in response. Judging by the answers of those shown in the video, people believe that this will not cause any particular problems — "I don't see any problem at all."

Judging by the poll, Belarusians do not use YouTube very often to watch videos. And in case of service blocking, they will calmly switch to some alternative domestic video hosting.
— Honestly, I use many other platforms besides foreign ones. Mostly — these are domestic platforms, — says the guy.
— So, if YouTube is blocked in Belarus, would you be able to switch to another app?
— Yes, there are many other applications, — replies the interlocutor.
He barely uses YouTube. The guy does not explain what domestic platforms replaced YouTube for him.
An older woman says she listens to stories on YouTube before bed.
— If YouTube is removed, there probably won't be any stories? — she expresses regret.
— And would you be able to switch to another app if it was created — a purely Belarusian one? — fantasizes the correspondent.
— If there's one just like it, of course, I can, — replies the woman.
Another woman also uses YouTube, "but not often."
— I watch hockey, my child plays, — she says.
— Don't you think Belarusians should abandon the YouTube platform altogether if it blocks major Belarusian media?
— I don't use it that often, so, in principle… Well, why not?
— So you don't see a problem with that?
— I don't see any problem at all, — replies the woman.
A young girl is also not against blocking YouTube.
— Overall, I'm not against it, I feel positive about it, because we need to promote Belarusian platforms, — she says about some Belarusian YouTube.
But the last guy had doubts.
— Don't you think Belarusians should abandon YouTube altogether if it blocks our official media? — asks the correspondent.
— Well… it's a difficult question.
— Do you watch YouTube often?
— Quite often, but rather I listen to music there. If it's blocked, I'll most likely switch to other platforms, — replies the guy.
In the Threads comments — outrage.
"What a mess. Did they search for these people for a long time?"
"What are these 'domestic' platforms that this random resident of Hrodna mostly uses? And how does he know that channels were blocked, whose existence he just learned about?"
"What's the point of blocking a platform with a huge amount of useful video material? There's education, instructions, and blogs by truly interesting people. Before blocking, one should think about what you will replace it with for people. Nobody gives a damn about these channels on this platform, no one watched them there. The target audience is not there, it's in zombified boxes."
"What domestic platforms, seriously, don't you find it funny?"
"Cringey video with actors."
"I feel sorry for the respondents and for those who filmed it, because everyone probably died of cringe."
"Don't talk nonsense. No sane person wants YouTube to be blocked."
"Content was made there for decades. There is already an example in fraternal Russia, where it was 'successfully' replaced with domestic alternatives. Do you want to replace a car part, disassemble a laptop, a vacuum cleaner, or do electrical wiring yourself at home — please go to YouTube. It's like closing all libraries in the country tomorrow."
"One might think that the survey is happening somewhere in Russia. What else can be added here..."
"So show the other 90% of those surveyed."
"Survey at gunpoint."
"You're screwed, at least make the polls honest, not rigged, everyone understands that no one will show the real picture, stop banning everything, you've exhausted us. You shouldn't take Russia's example, it will end badly. Give people a peaceful life. By blocking, you only make it worse for yourselves and the citizens, you yourselves whine about negative demographics, but at the same time, it's all bans. Who the hell needs to give birth here for you, to toil all their lives behind a curtain. People want to see the world, not rejoice at another ban."
"Disgrace."
"Excellent statistics. One person doesn't use it — it will be blocked for the whole country. TRK Grodno, I didn't know about you and I don't regret it at all."
