This is one of the stages of the project to create a unified museum quarter, reported Viktor Gutska, Chairman of the Committee on Architecture and Urban Planning of the Minsk City Executive Committee, as reported by Minsk-Novosti.
— The complex is formed by buildings that are architectural monuments. They are included in the State List of Historical and Cultural Values. Among them are: the main museum building on Lenin Street, the administrative building on Kirov Street. Of course, one cannot fail to mention the administrative and exhibition building at Karl Marx Street, 24," noted V. Gutska.
— The reconstruction of the main building is planned to begin by the end of summer.
The National Art Museum is preparing for a large-scale transformation. It will be transformed into a unified museum quarter, which will include buildings on Kirov Street, 25, Lenin Street, 20 and 22, and Karl Marx Street, 24. Thus, the area of the object will significantly increase.
Currently, the main works are being carried out in the directorate building on Lenin Street, 22. It is planned that in the future, exhibition halls will be located there, where excursions will also be conducted.
