A new medical service — conducting MRI scans at night — has been introduced in the 2nd Central District Polyclinic of Minsk, located in Kuntsevshchina, writes BelTA.

"This is the first experience of MRI operation at night in a state polyclinic. For now, the machine operates weekly overnight from Thursday to Friday, but if night-time examinations are in demand in the first months, the list of healthcare facilities will be expanded," noted the Minsk Healthcare Committee.
"MRI occupies one of the leading places in modern diagnostics. Nighttime is more convenient for some citizens, as specialists recommend not eating or drinking for 6-8 hours for the examination of some organs and tissues. This requirement is easier to fulfill when examined at night. We hope that nighttime MRI examinations will be in demand," emphasized Nikolai Trubchik, chief physician of the 2nd CRP.
