Clever Russian Yevgeny, with his wife and child, figured out how to live for free in a Belarusian's apartment

The owners found out about this only after the guests from the east left, leaving trash behind.

A young mother from Mogilev shared her unpleasant experience of renting out an apartment on Threads.

Darya, a Belarusian, is on maternity leave. She rents out her apartment in Mogilev — 75 rubles on weekdays, 85 rubles on weekends. And 40-50 rubles if someone has an urgent need to stay for a few hours.

Recently, a young family from Russia — Yevgeny with his wife and seven-year-old child — booked that apartment through the sutochno.ru service.

Darya immediately warned that she wouldn't be able to check in the guests herself, but she sent detailed instructions on how the Russians could do it independently. And, of course, she prepared the apartment for the people's arrival.

However, on the day of arrival, the family suddenly canceled the booking. The situation, of course, was unpleasant, but anything can happen — people's plans might have changed. But when Darya's mother came to the apartment after some time, she saw a full trash can, hair on the floor, and a damp towel in the bathroom. It turned out that the Russians had indeed used the apartment for free — because they had the instructions on how to enter.

The young mother was shocked, as she had never encountered such a situation before. Of course, Darya contacted the clever tenant. In response to the justified complaints, he only clarified what kind of trash they had left.

In the comments, people sympathize with the young mother and recommend that next time she should tell guests how to enter the apartment only after payment has been made. Someone also shared an experience of how to take cash without meeting people — for example, by sending access instructions only after guests have sent a video of themselves putting money into a mailbox.

It's worth explaining that in civilized services, like Booking, most reservations are made with a linked bank card. But when working with clients from Russia and considering their sanctions realities, it's impossible to demand mandatory cashless payment. Therefore, one has to agree to cash. Which, as the Mogilev situation shows, might not even be received.
