U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance stated that no American president has done more to help Ukraine stand firm than Donald Trump, reports Clash Report.
Journalists asked the American official why the U.S. was rewarding Russia and punishing "its best ally in Europe" by suspending the deployment of its troops in Poland.
"Frankly, there has been no president who has done more to ensure Ukraine stood strong during Russia's invasion than Donald Trump. As he once said: 'Obama gave Ukraine blankets, and I gave Ukraine Javelins.' And it is these Javelins that have ensured Ukraine still maintains its territorial sovereignty," Vance said.
According to him, Trump wants to pursue a policy focused on U.S. interests, "and part of that foreign policy is not to reward Putin and not to punish a country like Poland."
