The Belarus national team will play at the Junior (under 18) Ice Hockey World Championship next year, reports the Telegram channel «Hockey Exotic».

The tournament will take place in the USA from April 22 to May 2.
As can be seen, Belarusians will play in the same group with Slovakia, Czech Republic, Canada, and Finland.
Belarusian hockey players have been under a hockey ban along with Russian hockey since the start of the full-scale war against Ukraine in February 2022. For example, "adult" hockey players missed five World Championships, as well as qualification for the 2026 Olympics.
Juniors last played at the World Championship in 2021 and then took third place in their group.
The day before yesterday, hockey insider Artur Khairulin wrote that the ban on Belarusian hockey might be lifted in the coming days, and national teams will be returned to sports competitions.
Also today, Russian Sports Minister Mikhail Degtyarev announced that the Disciplinary Board of the International Ice Hockey Federation annulled the IIHF Council's decision to ban the national teams of Russia and Belarus from the 2026/27 season's competitions. Perhaps the decision will also apply to the youth and national teams.
