He held the position since 2008 and was one of the architects of mass repressions.

Stuk's dismissal is unlikely to be related to any dissatisfaction with his work. Judging by the solemn meeting held at the Prosecutor General's Office to mark his departure with appropriate honors, he is simply retiring due to age. On May 18, Aliaksei Stuk turned 67.

Stuk received his legal education at Belarusian State University, from which he graduated in 1981 with a degree in "jurisprudence."

He began his professional career in the prosecutor's office back in 1980, working as an investigator and senior investigator in the Partizanski District Prosecutor's Office, and later – in the Minsk City Prosecutor's Office.

From 1987 to 1989, he was Deputy Prosecutor of the Maskoŭski District of Minsk. Then he worked in the republican prosecutor's office, where he oversaw the review of criminal cases in courts. In the 1990s, he held the positions of Deputy Prosecutor of the Saviecki District of Minsk, and then – Prosecutor of the Lieninski District, where he worked until 2007.

After that, he briefly served as Deputy Prosecutor of Minsk City, and in June 2008, he was appointed Deputy Prosecutor General of the country. In this position, he was directly involved in politically motivated repressions. And it was he who presented the prosecution in court in the case of the terrorist attack in the Minsk metro.

From 2023, he was part of the so-called "commission for return," holding the position of deputy chairman.

In 2020, European sanctions were imposed against Stuk.
