Ryanair plane depressurized during flight, one passenger almost sucked out the window
On the morning of July 10, a serious incident occurred aboard a Ryanair flight from Thessaloniki, Greece, to Memmingen, Germany. Shortly after takeoff, when the plane was at an altitude of about six thousand meters, a window panel near one of the passenger seats broke, Bild writes .
Reportedly, as a result of the cabin depressurization, a 61-year-old passenger was sucked into the damaged window by a strong stream of air. His wife grabbed her husband's legs and held him until other passengers came to help.
After the depressurization, oxygen masks automatically deployed in the cabin. The crew acted according to instructions and decided to immediately return to "Macedonia" Airport in Thessaloniki. The plane landed successfully, and passengers safely disembarked.
The injured person received medical assistance directly at the airport. After examination, doctors diagnosed him with a neck injury.
Ryanair confirmed the incident and reported that after the plane's return, an alternative flight was arranged for the passengers, on which they continued their journey to Memmingen.
