Alexander Lukashenka signed a decree "On discharge to the reserve and conscription for urgent military service, reserve service" on July 22.

According to the document, in September — November 2026, male citizens of Belarus who have reached the age of 18 at the time of conscription and who are not entitled to a deferral will be called up for urgent military service and reserve service.
Also subject to conscription are citizens of conscription age who have lost the right to a deferral from service.
At the same time, the discharge to the reserve of conscripts who have served the terms established by law is envisaged.
The decree should allow state bodies, local executive and administrative structures to timely carry out all necessary measures related to the organization of conscription of citizens for urgent service and reserve service.
