Belarusian Railways to launch higher capacity trains from Minsk to Gomel

Belarusian Railways, starting July 23, is increasing the number of seats in business-class interregional trains running on the Minsk — Gomel — Minsk route. To achieve this, trains will run with double-carriages (coupled sets).

Starting July 23, train No. 708 Minsk — Gomel will begin operating in this format. From July 24, trains No. 707 Gomel — Minsk and No. 709/710 Minsk — Gomel — Minsk will also run with double-carriages.

In the future, the movement of double-carriages will be organized according to the following schedule:

  • on Thursdays — train No. 708 Minsk — Gomel;
  • on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays — trains No. 708/707 and No. 709/710;
  • on Mondays — train No. 707 Gomel — Minsk.

This decision was made to increase the number of available seats on the most in-demand route.
