In the Gorodok district, in the village of Khvoshna, during the reconstruction of the Church of the Ascension, built in the 19th century, workers discovered human remains. They were found in a layer of sand fill under the concrete base of the floor.

An investigative-operational group arrived at the scene with the participation of a specialist from the Vitebsk inter-district department of the State Forensic Examination Committee, reports the State Forensic Examination Committee.

DKSE specialists will need to determine the age of the burial, the sex and approximate age of the person, as well as examine the possibility of extracting a DNA profile for identification and assess traces of possible injuries or pathological changes.
