Uzbekistan's national payment system HUMO has appointed Alexander Sotnikov as its new Chairman of the Board. The company announced this on July 21, 2026.

Prior to this, since May 2026, Alexander Sotnikov worked at HUMO as the First Deputy Chairman of the Board. He was responsible for key areas of the company's operations and the implementation of strategic projects for the development of the national payment infrastructure in Uzbekistan.

Sotnikov is a specialist in payment technologies, digital banking, and the development of national payment systems. He has over 25 years of professional experience.

Before joining HUMO, Alexander Sotnikov held leadership positions in the banking and payment sectors of Belarus. He headed JSC "Banking Processing Center" — the country's largest processing center and operator of the national payment system "Belkart". Sotnikov also served as Deputy Chairman of the Board at Belgazprombank and worked at the National Bank of Belarus, where he participated in the development of the national payment infrastructure and the implementation of modern digital financial services.

HUMO is Uzbekistan's national payment system and an important element of the country's financial infrastructure. It unites banks, businesses, and millions of users, ensuring the development of modern payment technologies and digital financial services.

According to Sotnikov, one of the main reasons for joining HUMO was the company's ambitious plans and its striving for technological development. Among the most promising directions, he highlighted the development of integration between payment systems, the use of artificial intelligence, and the expansion of international cooperation.

Under the leadership of Alexander Sotnikov, HUMO plans to continue developing a modern payment ecosystem, implementing new technological solutions, expanding international partnerships, and making digital financial services more accessible to residents, banks, and businesses in Uzbekistan.
