Krutoy: Military training camps for negligent agrarians will last 2-3 months
At a meeting held in Asipovichy with the participation of representatives from Asipovichy, Hlusk, and Babruysk districts, Lukashenka's Chief of Staff Dmitry Krutoy discussed issues raised during yesterday's conference call on the harvesting campaign with Lukashenka himself.
Dmitry Krutoy noted that Lukashenka has introduced the most stringent, mobilization regime for harvesting. The main task now is to gather, without losses, the harvest grown by Belarusian agrarians.
In this regard, control over discipline will be strengthened. According to Krutoy, on Lukashenka's instructions, the Ministry of Defense must prepare places and types of work for those employees who violate discipline.
In each district, the head of the district executive committee, together with the military commissar and heads of agricultural enterprises, must identify lists of such people. Among them, Krutoy stated, will be "negligent workers, violators, those who steal, abuse alcohol, are lazy."
These people are planned to be sent to the disposition of the Ministry of Defense as part of military-educational camps lasting up to two or three months. According to Krutoy, this will apply to everyone regardless of their position: if a person disrupted work, they will be sent to the camps.
"Thanks to the press, the country should know not only the heroes of the harvest, which is absolutely fair, but also such 'heroes' who disrupt the process with their negligence. If they failed within the harvesting campaign, then, probably, in the army they will be able to benefit the country — there is enough work there, including economic and domestic," the official stated.
He emphasized that such measures are needed not only for punishment but also for education. The conditions, according to him, will be "Spartan," however, people will get the opportunity to strengthen their physical fitness and bring benefit through work.
The heads of district executive committees, military enlistment offices, and heads of agricultural enterprises will be responsible for organizing this work. Krutoy stated that no one would be allowed to cover for anyone.
"The head of the regional executive committee is responsible for organizing the harvest in the region, while the head of the district executive committee is the central link on the ground. If the district does not perform — he will have to answer," said Lukashenka's Chief of Staff.
