A working meeting was held at the Department of Internal Affairs of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, with the participation of Minister of Internal Affairs Ivan Kubrakov, dedicated to the aspects of Uzbek citizens' stay in the country, the Interior Ministry's press service reports.
The Interior Ministry's press service reports that the foreigners have already been distributed among enterprises and organizations in the Vitebsk region, primarily in the agricultural sector.
"Our task is to provide the guests with all necessary assistance: from registration to full adaptation in Belarus. After all, people have come to another country, there is a difference in mentality. We need to approach this with understanding, and explain the specifics of our legislation clearly and in detail," the minister said.
Yesterday, July 15, a video appeared online, recorded by migrant workers from Uzbekistan, in which they complained about the proposed salary of 500 dollars, stating that, according to them, they had to pay for accommodation and food themselves. They declared that under such conditions they were ready to refuse the work and return to their homeland.
Propagandists reacted to the video, and one of the migrant workers recorded a new one, where he spoke of a salary of 700 dollars.
