Work begins on restoring the main roof of the fire-damaged house on Lenin Street in Minsk
Work has begun on restoring the main roof of the house at 9 Lenin Street in Minsk, which recently suffered significant damage from a fire. Builders have already completed several key stages, writes BelTA.

To date, the laying of the wall plate (mauerlat) has been completed, the purlin has been installed, and the rafter system is partially assembled. The temporary roof is being gradually dismantled simultaneously with the installation of new rafters, which minimizes the risk of leaks.
The new roof will be made of standing seam metal roofing. In addition, vapor barrier installation has already been completed throughout the attic.
Construction work on the side facing Lenin Street is approximately 70 percent complete. Restoration also continues on the courtyard side.
Engineering networks are also being gradually restored. Currently, electricity supply has been restored to 56 out of 80 apartments in the building. Construction and restoration work continues.
The fire in this house broke out on the evening of June 28 on the mansard floor and quickly spread, damaging the premises. As a result, property belonging to state bodies, as well as individuals and legal entities, was destroyed and damaged. Preliminarily, the damage is estimated at no less than 450 thousand rubles.
