Main Roscosmos Scientific Institute Catches Fire in Moscow Region
A fire occurred in the city of Korolev, Moscow Oblast, on the territory of the Central Research Institute of Machine Building (TsNIIMash). This was reported by Russian media citing emergency services.

According to preliminary information, the fire is of technogenic nature. To extinguish it, rescuers from the Moscow Oblast requested assistance from units of the Moscow Ministry of Emergency Situations.
There is currently no official information on the causes of the fire, the extent of damage, or possible casualties.

Shortly before the incident, Rosaviatsia introduced temporary restrictions on the operation of Domodedovo, Vnukovo, and Zhukovsky airports. Such measures are often taken in Russia when there is a threat of drone attacks. However, the connection between these events and the fire has not yet been officially confirmed.
The Central Research Institute of Machine Building is the main scientific center of the state corporation Roscosmos and one of the key institutions of the Russian space industry. The institute conducts research and development in the field of rocket and space technology, and its developments are used in the creation of ballistic missiles, navigation systems, and satellites, including those designed for reconnaissance.
