On the afternoon of August 5, a road traffic accident involving five cars occurred on Nezavisimosti Avenue in Minsk, reported the Minsk State Automobile Inspectorate (GAI).
It is reported that a 67-year-old driver of a Renault car was moving along Nezavisimosti Avenue and suddenly drove into the oncoming lane near the intersection with Fogel Street. As a result, he collided with Opel, Toyota, Volkswagen cars, as well as a MAZ truck.
The causes and circumstances of the accident are being investigated.
As a result of the incident, no one was injured. The vehicles sustained mechanical damage.
A medical examination confirmed that the Renault driver had no alcohol in his system at the time of the accident.
