Eight people were killed on the station platform near Brovary in the Kyiv region.
People did not manage to board the train, which was slightly delayed, said Vitaliy Biehun, head of the Brovary District State Administration.
Volodymyr Zelensky commented on the night strike on the Kyiv region in his Telegram channel.
"Currently, 44 people are known to have been injured as a result of the massive Russian strike on Kyiv and the Kyiv region. Another 17 people, unfortunately, died. My condolences to their families and loved ones. The strike was severe: 24 ballistic missiles, 4 "Tsirkon/Onyx" missiles, and 115 drones, a significant part of which were jet-powered. The main target of the attack was warehouse premises of civilian enterprises, there were also strikes on infrastructure and a railway station. These were objects unrelated to the war: a brewing company, construction material warehouses, civilian logistics," said the President of Ukraine.
