Riotous Belarusian recidivist smashed a CCTV camera in a Russian pre-trial detention center

Russia seeks to recover about $1720 from Uladzislau Podzel.

Belarusian criminal Uladzislau Podzel was held in pre-trial detention center No. 1 near St. Petersburg, awaiting extradition to Belarus. Something greatly displeased him, so he smashed a SDP-849I CCTV camera. The Belarusian refused to give explanations.

The total damage amounted to about $1660, in addition, Podzel must also pay a state duty of about $60.

The case was heard without the Belarusian's participation, as he had already been extradited to Belarus at that time.

This is not Podzel's first time serving a sentence; he was imprisoned in Russia in the mid-2010s. His wife then sent him a song by the band "Butyrka" via radio.
