Metro builders finished work under the Svislach riverbed

Builders have completed another stage of work on the third, Zelenaluzhskaya line of the Minsk Metro – laying a section under the Svislach riverbed, reported "Minskstroy".

Work began in the spring of 2026. The riverbed was not drained; instead, it was divided into several sections, and construction was carried out in stages. "Minskstroy" noted that the work did not affect the river itself.

Under the Svislach riverbed, metro builders installed a monolithic reinforced concrete slab measuring 41 by 25 meters. Its thickness is 50 centimeters, and the structure has a slope towards the center.

The slab is designed to protect future metro tunnels from ground subsidence and water penetration. The tunnels themselves will run approximately 8 meters below the Svislach riverbed.

After the completion of the work, almost nothing remained at the construction site to indicate it – perhaps only the renovated slopes.
