Apple has announced the presentation date for the new iPhone.
Apple Inc. has sent out invitations for a presentation that will take place on September 9th at Apple Park — the company's headquarters in Cupertino, California. It is expected that the event will feature the first foldable iPhone and other new products, Axios reports.
The presentation will begin at 10:00 AM local time (8:00 PM Minsk time) at the Steve Jobs Theater.
The event will be Apple's first major event since the change of CEO.
American engineer and top manager at Apple Inc., John Ternus, will replace Tim Cook as the head of the company on September 1st.
This year's presentation could be significantly larger due to the release of Apple's first foldable smartphone. According to industry sources, the device will feature a horizontal folding design: its external screen may have a diagonal of about 5.5 inches, and the internal one – about 7.8 inches. Additionally, Apple is expected to try to make the crease on the display less noticeable.
At the same time, Apple users and fans expect the company to also introduce the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max this autumn. Among the rumored changes in the devices are a new A20 Pro chip, a more compact Dynamic Island (an interactive area at the top of the screen), and a main camera with a variable aperture.
