Milinkevich's Widow: Every day I see new flowers or new people at his grave

"A deep bow to all of you for being with us during this difficult time," writes Inna Kuley.

Inna Kuley expresses gratitude on Facebook to everyone who came to bid farewell to her husband, politician Aliaksandr Milinkevich, and supported their family during those days — both Belarusians and the Polish government.

"You know, strangely enough, I remember that day very vividly. I recognized and saw every person, every single one who approached me with words of condolence and sorrow. I remember faces, gazes, hugs.

I know that many of you were present during these mournful ceremonies, but we didn't hug and didn't have time to say words of support to each other. I know that you were with us with all your hearts.

I remember how solemn and heartfelt the mass was, how strong and touching the words of the sermon, how warmly and sincerely Aliaksandr's like-minded friends spoke. In the Archcathedral that day there were very different people — in their views, political and party affiliations, in the organizations they worked and continue to work in. People from different countries and different backgrounds, with different life experiences.

But there was something that united everyone. For everyone, Aliaksandr was a friend. And Belarus was important to each of them. Mutual warmth and unity prevailed during the farewell, and this truly gave strength and hope," Inna Kuley wrote.

She added that people came to the farewell from different countries — the United States, Germany, Lithuania. And those who are now in Belarus also made it.

"Every day I see new flowers or new people at his grave. For me, this is very touching. A deep bow to all of you for being with us during this difficult time," Milinkevich's widow thanked once again.
