Minsk cafe "Van Gogh" announced an unusual promotion, offering customers to bring a zucchini and receive a free S-sized cappuccino or americano in return.

Users wondered if they could bring a pattypan squash, if there would be coffee with zucchini milk, or if they could come with their own coffee and exchange it for a zucchini. Someone decided that the "rate is favorable," as a zucchini costs 4 rubles in the store, while coffee is 5-12 rubles, Onliner.by writes.
Jokes aside, the cafe can now be called "Van Zucchini" — about 50 kg of vegetables have already been brought to the establishment.
Lia, the art manager of the space, said that a similar promotion is being held at the cafe for the first time. The idea belongs to the founder, although the employees were initially a bit skeptical: according to rumors, this year's harvest is not very large.
But in reality, the baskets with autumn vegetables in the cafe can't be emptied fast enough.

— You just turn away, and it's full again. They must be multiplying by budding, — Lia shares with a smile. — Other cafes have already picked up the idea — for example, they are accepting pumpkins.
All the harvest collected since September 1st is stored in a dry, cool place.
The answer to the most frequent question from cafe visitors has become known: what will happen to the zucchini. Yesterday, a free distribution of autumn vegetable pie began.
— We processed about 10-12 kg of zucchini with four hands. It took about five hours, — Polina, the director of the establishment, recounts how the night went. — We got 5 sweet pies, 4 savory pies, and 2 pots of pancakes. We hope there's enough for everyone.
