Belarusian Football Federation complained about Lukashenka hate during the national team's match in Finland
The Association "Belarusian Football Federation" announced that after the first three matches of the UEFA Nations League 2026/2027 season, the federation's leadership decided to send an official appeal to the Union of European Football Associations.

The appeal concerns the organization of the away match between the national teams of Finland and Belarus. The ABFF expressed concern over a number of issues related to the conditions for holding the meeting, for which the Football Association of Finland is responsible.
The Belarusian Football Federation emphasizes that it adheres to the requirements of the UEFA regulations and insists on strict adherence to all protocol and organizational norms that should ensure equal conditions for all participants of the tournament.
It can be assumed that football officials from Belarus reacted this way primarily to a large banner with the inscription Sun päiväs koittaa, which can be translated from Finnish as "Your day will come". On it, a large polar owl grasps a caricature of Lukashenka with its claws.
In addition, the ABFF's outrage may have been caused by the fact that the Finnish national team warmed up in T-shirts saying "We stand for peace". Also, several Ukrainian flags were spotted in the stands, and in the Finnish fan section — a white-red-white one.
