"21st Century, a Hole in the Floor." Belarusian Woman Outraged by the State of a Toilet at an Auto Station in a District Center
A Belarusian woman published a video on the social network Threads of a public toilet at the Yelsk bus station and drew attention to its condition. According to her, a similar restroom in the district center has existed for decades, writes BG.Media.

The author of the video noted that people were forced to use such a toilet at least 40 years ago, but nothing has changed even now. Even in winter, passengers have to visit a toilet with a hole in the floor. The woman urged people to share the publication to draw the attention of local authorities to the problem.
The video provoked a negative reaction from social network users. Many recalled similar public toilets in other Belarusian cities. One commentator noted that the condition of public toilets indicates the level of civilization development in a country.
Another Belarusian woman published footage of a similar toilet at the Polotsk bus station. She emphasized that it was not an abandoned facility, but a bus station in a district center used by passengers.
Another user compared what was seen to a toilet in the pioneer camp "Lesnaya Skazka" in Zhdanovichi, where, according to her, a lot of chlorine is also used.
Some recalled a similar situation at the Belarus railway station in Zaslavl. One commentator wrote that the toilet there is the same, even though the town had its roads and sidewalks renovated for the "Dazhynki" festival, and monuments and sculptures were also installed. Another user ironically remarked that the toilets in administrative buildings, courts, and prosecutor's offices are probably much more comfortable.
Some commentators joked, suggesting organizing "Back to the USSR" style excursions or advising that it would be better to go into the bushes than use such a toilet.
However, there were also those who believed that toilets in other places looked even worse. As examples, they mentioned the toilet near the cemetery in Minsk's Chizhovka and the restroom in the Minsk Narcological Dispensary on Vaupshasova Street.
