The name of another Belarusian who could have been involved in the sabotage in Leipzig became known. And he changed his surname.
Shortly before the sabotage, Maksim Lapunov flew from St. Petersburg to Ankara, from where he headed to Europe.

The sabotage at Leipzig airport (Germany) occurred on August 4 – a drone with explosives crashed into the wing of an An-124 "Ruslan" plane, but the device did not detonate. A bus driver found the drone on the ground several hours later.
The Insider calculated that the GRU was behind the sabotage. But among the hired assistants were also Belarusians.
Nasha Niva already reported on one of them – this is Andrei Karshakou, a Belarusian residing in Russia.

For Karshakou, this was not the first act of sabotage: two years earlier, he participated in an arson attack in the Polish city of Łódź. On the night of July 25, 2024, a shelf with plant protection products and insecticides caught fire in a Leroy Merlin hypermarket in Łódź.
The second Belarusian who could have been involved in the incident in Leipzig, as The Insider found out, is Maksim Lapunov (he officially changed his surname but used an old passport under the name Maksim Kolasau).
According to flight data, on July 19, 2026, two weeks before the incident, he flew from St. Petersburg to Ankara, from where he flew to Belgrade on the same day. According to sources of The Insider in law enforcement agencies of one of the European countries, Lapunov was in Germany with a high degree of probability during those days.
Lapunov was also in Łódź during the days of the sabotage in 2024.
