An unusual fox was spotted in the Logoisk region for the second time in a month. But not the same one. VIDEO
In the Logoisk district, a camera trap recorded an unusual fox with black fur instead of the usual red. The footage was shared by Logoisk Forestry.

This is a silver fox, also known as a black-brown fox. Despite its unusual appearance, it is not a separate species, but represents a color variation of the common red fox.
Such coloration of the animal is due to melanism — a genetic feature in which its body produces more dark pigment, melanin. As a result, the fur becomes black or dark brown.
However, silver foxes are not always completely black: their fur can have a silvery sheen, grey patches, and the tip of the tail sometimes remains white. By itself, black coloration does not mean that the animal belongs to a rare or endangered species.
In the last month, a second unusually colored fox has been spotted in the vicinity of Logoisk. In September, a white fox with a collar appeared in the village of Kisialioŭka on a dacha plot. This was a tame fox with unusual white coloration, not an arctic fox, as some had supposed.
