"Guests wanted to sit at a table with sofas, but it's dangerous." A Minsk cafe commented on the scandal involving a girl with a disability.
Golden Coffee claims there was a misunderstanding. And that no one was allegedly refused service.

Golden Coffee in the Dana Mall shopping center officially commented on the scandal involving an 8-year-old girl in a wheelchair. The mother of 8-year-old Katya Vinogradova said that their company, along with another woman in a wheelchair, was refused entry to the establishment.
The cafe has its own version of events. They explained that there was a misunderstanding.
"Guests with special needs are always welcome at Golden Coffee. There was a misunderstanding due to a delay in finding a comfortable place for them. We usually place guests with special needs in the hall in non-passable positions for their comfort and safety.
In the video, you can notice that the hostess did not refuse service and placement to the guests, but went to ask the administrator for help.
Further in the video, you can see the hostess returning and informing the guests that there are no free places for their comfortable accommodation in the hall, and the administrator is considering options for placing them on the terrace," noted the cafe representative.
According to her, the delay was due to the fact that the administrator was looking for a suitable table and freeing up space for the guests. And seating the company at a table with sofas would be unsafe for the girl herself.
"The administrator needed a little more time to select and free up a comfortable and safe table, at which the guests were subsequently seated. The guests wanted to sit at a table with sofas, which excludes their quality service. It also violates their safety, as passing guests and staff would touch their wheelchairs," the statement said.
Golden Coffee emphasized that they never refuse service to guests.
"At Golden Coffee, we never restrict or refuse service to any of our guests, but strive to provide quality attentive service and comfort. Our restaurant successfully hosts banquets with people in wheelchairs. We treat guests with special needs with care and always help them with accommodation and service," noted the representative of the establishment.
