In Lepel District, an animal burial ground was equipped to the delight of foxes
The prosecutor's office of Lepel District, during an inspection, found violations of veterinary and sanitary rules at the animal burial ground of one of the agricultural enterprises in the district, reports the press service of the General Prosecutor's Office.

According to legislation, organizations must properly dispose of and store products of animal origin that do not meet veterinary and sanitary requirements. However, the inspection revealed that the enterprise did not comply with the rules. Deceased animals were buried directly on the territory of the animal burial ground, and not in a specially equipped biothermal pit.
In addition, the facility was not properly fenced, so wild animals had access to biological waste. A fox was even spotted on the territory of the burial ground, feasting on unburied animal remains. This could pose a threat of spreading infectious diseases on livestock complexes.
It was also established that the biothermal pit did not have a lock, and the entrance gates lacked information about the responsible person and contact details.
Following the inspection, the prosecutor's office issued a directive to the head of the organization to eliminate the identified violations. A disciplinary case was initiated against the responsible person.
