"Exactly a day without transfers". Bus queues at the Poland-Belarus border crossing
On the eve of the Christmas holidays, dozens of buses are queuing to enter Belarus from Poland. Passengers spend about a day at the border. The practice of paid transfers to buses further ahead in the queue has again gained popularity, writes Most.

As users of border chats write, crossing the border through the "Terespol — Brest" checkpoint takes about a day or even more.
Viktor was traveling from Warsaw. He writes that he arrived at the border on December 21 at 04:50, his bus was 56th in the queue. Passengers left the border crossing on the Belarusian side only on December 22 at 08:30. At the Polish checkpoint, the bus was processed in 25 minutes, while on the Belarusian side it took four and a half hours.
For user Vera Vanislavskaya, crossing the border without transfers took 28 hours and 15 minutes: they arrived at the border on December 21 at 01:30 and left the border on December 22 at 05:15.
— PL—BY border — exactly a day without transfers, — writes user Anzhela.
Many users note that exit control from Poland is fast, while the Belarusian side sends a significant part of vehicles for X-ray scanning.
Before the barrier, a 20-seater minibus is swapped for a large bus
Along with border queues, the practice of paid transfers to the first buses in the queue has returned. This time, "pick-ups" are practiced on the Polish side of the border. In Terespol, drivers have even appeared offering to transport bus passengers to the beginning of the queue. This service costs 20 zlotys.
For a transfer to one of the first buses in the queue, passengers pay 50 euros each. For passengers who used this method, crossing the border took 4.5—5 hours.
Chat users described a questionable practice by some carriers: they first put a 20-passenger minibus in the queue, and then, before the barrier, swap it for a 50-seater bus. This way, dozens of free seats appear before the border, which can be sold for 50 euros each.
What's happening in "Bobrovniki"
Bus queues have also appeared at the "Bobrovniki — Berestovitsa" border crossing. Chats report that overnight from December 21 to 22, there were 24 buses queuing to exit Poland into Belarus.
Crossing the border towards Belarus takes 24—25 hours.
Queues also for exiting Belarus
There are also bus queues on the Belarusian side of the border. In "Brest", some carriers practice transferring passengers to substitute buses closer to the beginning of the queue. Crossing the border by bus towards Poland through the "Brest — Terespol" checkpoint takes about eight hours.
In "Berestovitsa", crossing the border towards Poland takes 12—14 hours.
