Before Christmas, Nelli Vadanosava suffered a severe stroke and was hospitalized. A couple of days ago, her daughter, TV presenter Katsiaryna Vadanosava, wrote that her mother had begun to agonize.

Late in the evening on January 1, the TV presenter announced that her mother was gone.
“For 34 years, my mom waited to meet my dad. I hope they are together now. And now I am a complete orphan. Mom has died,” Katsiaryna Vadanosava wrote on Facebook.
On December 23, Katsiaryna's mother Nelli suffered a stroke in Warsaw. The woman was paralyzed and unconscious. Doctors promptly arrived, took her to the hospital, and performed an operation. "Half of her brain is filled with blood. This is irreversible," Katsiaryna described the situation.
At this time, it was discovered that the Office for Foreigners had not entered the elderly woman into the database of insured persons. Katsiaryna then expressed concern that the bill for the operation and other medical procedures could amount to tens or hundreds of thousands of zlotys. Following this, a charity fundraiser on "Bysol" quickly raised €15,000.
The TV presenter's mother left Belarus over a year ago due to pressure from the KGB and applied for international protection. Recently, she lived with her daughter's family in Białystok.
In autumn, the Polish Border Guard decided to deport her to Lithuania due to bureaucratic misunderstandings: the authorities did not take into account that her international protection case was still being considered and a court hearing had been scheduled. Later, the deportation was cancelled.
The reason for the threat of expulsion was that the woman entered Poland with a Lithuanian visa. This is related to the so-called Dublin Regulation, which determines which country is responsible for examining an application for asylum or international protection.
