MAZ driver who fatally hit traffic inspector ordered to pay 190,000 rubles
The tragedy occurred on March 28, 2024, in the Pinsk district.
A 38-year-old resident of Stolin, while overtaking another car that was stopping at the request of a traffic inspector, violated traffic rules and hit the inspector. Notably, overtaking was completely prohibited on this section of the road.
Criminal prosecution and preliminary investigation in this case were terminated due to an act of amnesty.
However, the medical insurance department of "Beldzyarzhstrakh" made a decision and paid the heirs of the deceased the amount of insurance compensation — 190,000 rubles.
According to the legislation, if individuals responsible for the death (demise) of an internal affairs officer, causing harm to their health, or property damage to them or their relatives are identified, the insurance sums are recovered in full from the guilty party.
As a result, the court satisfied the prosecutor's claim — the decision has entered into legal force, the prosecutor's office reports.
