In early January, "Zerkalo" wrote about Darya Ivanova, a former journalist for state publications and a supporter of the authorities, who complained that for months she couldn't find a good job anywhere and was collecting donations for food. After this publication, journalists learned that the woman is also the daughter of an officer of the Central apparatus of the KGB. The information was confirmed by "Belpol", an association of former security forces.
"When she became Ivanova, it is unknown. Her ex-husband is Chinese, her maiden name is Chupakhina," a reader noted. Apparently, Darya underwent an official name change procedure, as according to passport data, she is indeed Ivanova, "Belpol" reported. Judging by social networks, this is her mother's maiden name.

Darya's father's name is Chupakhin Aliaksandr Uladzimiravich, he was born in 1974, he is now 51. He serves or served in the Central apparatus of the KGB from 2004 and at least until 2019 (according to the "Belpol" database, current as of 2021, the last entry about Chupakhin's work in the KGB is for 2019, but this does not mean that this is the last year of his service in the agency).

Moreover, Chupakhin has a cover passport under the name "Charkasau Aliaksandr Uladzimiravich", "Zerkalo" reported.
Based on the activity of his Telegram account, where he is subscribed as Aleks Markus, the man is interested in weapons and knives, and periodically travels to Russia. Social media pages could not be found.
Darya and her father own property in Minsk. There is data on their registration in recent years in apartment buildings on Ihumenski Trakt (built in 2005) — most likely where Aliaksandr Chupakhin lives — and on Karpovich Street in Kopishcha (built in 2019), near the "Novaya Baravaya" residential complex. Since 2019, Darya has used delivery services at both addresses.
Interestingly, not only Darya's father served in state service. His parents lived in Slutsk all their lives, and were Komsomol activists in their youth. Darya's grandfather Uladzimir Chupakhin was a military man — in the photo below from 1982, he is in the uniform of a Soviet army captain.
And Darya's grandmother, according to a "Zerkalo" source, Liudmila Chupakhina was the director of the Slutsk Cannery (since 2012 it has been part of OJSC "Slutsk Cheese Factory"), but there is no confirmation of this information. At the same time, Liudmila's social media contains many photos from the 2010s, where she is present at various official events and celebrations.

Darya Ivanova reacted to "Zerkalo"'s previous publication.
"The runaway media are trying to turn my personal story into cheap hype and a donation drive. They interpreted my post almost as begging — although I don't need gifts. I need those who hire people to obey the LAW! <…> I used to work in state media, and I hasten to remind you: "journalist" sounds honorable. <…> I am not a victim. I am a single mother and a specialist who demands basic and adequate conditions. Which, by the way, I have a right to and which are enshrined in the Constitution. So stop spreading fakes about a needy former employee." "My capital is my intellect, experience, and knowledge of the law. And I will use them precisely to help other mothers not get into trouble," Darya stated on social media.
She also complained about unprofessionalism. The argument was that her photo in a police uniform, published in the article and taken from her social media, was allegedly created using neural networks back in 2023, and the authors of the material mistook it for genuine.
However, AI generators at that time were not capable of creating such high-quality images without artifacts, and the reality of the photo is also indicated by light, shadows, and many other details.
