Belarusian Who Threw a Child's Head Against the Floor at Sheremetyevo Declared Insane
31-year-old resident of Novaya Huta, Uladzimir Vitsikau, who last June with full force threw a small child's head against the floor at a Moscow airport, has been declared insane.

A psychological and psychiatric examination showed that at the time of the incident, the man was not aware of his actions, according to the Moscow Region Investigative Committee of Russia.
The tragedy happened on June 24, 2025. Vitsikau was returning from Cairo, where he worked on a construction site. At Sheremetyevo, he grabbed a stranger's one-and-a-half-year-old boy, Afghan Mohammad Afzal, and threw him to the floor with full force. The child sustained terrible injuries: fractures of the skull and spine.

Before the attack, the Belarusian used hashish and drank three bottles of whiskey. In addition, Vitsikau has long been registered with a psychiatrist with a diagnosis of "schizophrenia".
“During the investigation, a comprehensive psychological and psychiatric examination was conducted on the man, according to the conclusion of which he cannot comprehend the factual nature and social danger of his actions,” the Russian Investigative Committee reports.
Now, instead of a prison term, the Belarusian faces compulsory treatment in a psychiatric hospital.
