90-year-old pensioner died in a fire in Gomel

Today, around 5 AM, the Ministry of Emergency Situations received a report about a fire in a house on Bykhovskaya Street from a passerby.

Upon arrival, rescuers saw smoke coming from under the roof of the house. On the floor in the kitchen, where there was no fire, rescuers found the body of the owner — a woman born in 1935.

Ministry of Emergency Situations employees extinguished the fire. The cause of the incident is being investigated.
