Co-owner and chief designer of the defense company Fire Point, Denys Shtilierman, published a video of Ukrainian FP-5 "Flamingo" missiles being launched at a Russian Ministry of Defense arsenal in the Volgograd region. The footage appeared on the X social network on February 12.

It is reported that the strike was carried out on one of the largest ammunition depots of the Russian army, located approximately 400 kilometers from the state border of Ukraine. The General Staff of Ukraine confirmed the use of FP-5 "Flamingo" long-range strike systems.

In addition, in the city of Michurinsk, Tambov region, the AFU attacked the "Progress" plant, which produces high-tech equipment for aviation and missile systems and works for the needs of the Russian army. According to the General Staff, a fire broke out on the territory of the enterprise, and the extent of the damage is being clarified.
Defense Express analysts believe that "Flamingo" missiles are capable of effectively overcoming air defense and electronic warfare systems, as both facilities should have had serious protection.
On the night of February 12, powerful explosions occurred in the Volgograd region. A missile strike and a fire were reported at a military arsenal in the village of Kotluban. The regional governor, Andrey Bocharov, stated that local air defense allegedly repelled the attack, and the fire was caused by falling debris on the territory of the Ministry of Defense facility.
Earlier, on February 5, the defeat of the Kapustin Yar training ground by "Flamingo" missiles was reported — this was the first official confirmation of their use on Russian territory.
