Belarusian operators have figured out how to bypass unlimited data restrictions
Belarusian mobile operators have found a way to bypass the restrictions on "unlimited" internet, which officially come into force on February 23. For those for whom 30 GB per month is not enough under the new law and who do not want to settle for slow internet, there is a way out, writes Telegraf.news.

Companies have started offering new tariff plans with a larger volume of high-speed traffic. Formally, they are not called "unlimited," but the volume of high-speed traffic significantly exceeds the needs of most users.
For example, the operator Life has launched a tariff with 100 GB at unlimited speed. The company's official account explained that the 30 GB limits will not apply to this tariff, as it is not a fully "unlimited" internet plan.
On old "unlimited" tariffs, for example, "Bezlim Pro Max" (Unlimited Pro Max), after 30 GB, the speed drops to 1 Mbps. But the operator offers a bonus — an additional 60 GB per month upon tariff renewal, so the user effectively gets 90 GB of high-speed internet instead of 30 GB.
The Ministry of Communications of Belarus explained that truly "unlimited" internet without speed restrictions will still be available for some services, for example, unet.by (anlim.bel). Operators also have the right to provide additional traffic at "unlimited" speed, although it will have to be paid for.
In essence, Belarusians will be able to get more high-speed traffic, even when restrictions are officially introduced.
