The head coach of the Belarusian national football team named the team's objective in the Nations League, where their opponents will be Albania, Finland, and San Marino.
"It's not interesting to threaten the fourth place from the third. We must do everything possible to move up. Why not? If we had Spain and Croatia in our group, the objectives would be different. We understand that this is the third pot, and the strength of the teams is more or less equal. Yes, Albanians and Finns are slightly higher than us in the ranking, but in any case - they are close. Therefore, we should aim for the first place. I think this is correct," said the head coach of the Belarusian national team.
The next draw of the football Nations League starts in a month. Belarus plays in Division C (the strongest division is A, then B follows, D is the weakest). Their opponents will be the national teams of Albania, Finland, and San Marino.
The team that takes first place in the group will directly advance to Division B. The team that takes second place will play in playoff matches against a team that finishes third in Division B, where teams like Ireland, Kosovo, Romania, Georgia, Wales, and others play.
