In St. Petersburg, a man was detained for sending an American body armor plate to Belarus
A resident of St. Petersburg became a defendant in a criminal case regarding the smuggling of dual-use products. According to the St. Petersburg and Leningrad Region FSB Directorate, the man sent a body armor plate subject to export control to Belarus, writes the publication "Kommersant".

According to the local publication "Fontanka", the suspect was engaged in selling personal protective equipment – vests, helmets, and plates. His clients also included participants in the war in Ukraine.
One of the body armor plates sent to Belarus — an American DKX plate — failed testing: a bullet pierced the product, and the declared protection class was not confirmed. Details of the investigation and the circumstances of the shipment are currently being clarified.
