Belarus plans to significantly increase the production of greenhouse tomatoes, the government press service reported . Previously, support for the greenhouse industry helped fully meet the country's needs for cucumbers during the off-season through domestic producers. Now, the main focus has been shifted to tomatoes.

By the off-season of 2025/2026, it is planned to almost double the output of domestic tomatoes — up to 71%.
In addition, they plan to expand the assortment of peppers, eggplants, berries, and greens. For producers, it is claimed that a number of financial and organizational issues have already been resolved.
At the "DarOrs" enterprise, a line for the production of greens has been launched on an area of 1.4 hectares, which will allow doubling the output of greens and lettuce. Deliveries of fresh greens to stores at an affordable price are promised to begin on February 20.
