Ukrainian drones attacked one of the largest chemical plants in Russia – "Metafrax Chemicals", located in Perm Krai. This was reported by the Telegram channel Astra, citing photo analysis and eyewitness accounts.

According to these reports, the strike was carried out on the enterprise in the city of Gubakha. Local residents reported an attack by at least four drones and a subsequent fire. Plant employees were reportedly directed to a shelter during the incident.
Perm Krai Governor Dmitry Makhonin confirmed the attack, stating that Ukrainian drones were detected in the region. According to him, there were no casualties, relevant services were promptly deployed, and there is no threat to the population. The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that four Ukrainian drones were shot down over the krai between 7 and 9 AM Moscow time.

"Metafrax Chemicals" is the main enterprise of the "Metafrax Group" holding and specializes in the production of methanol, formalin, synthetic resins, and other chemical products. Some types of products are used, among other things, in the production of explosives and weapon components. The company is under sanctions from the UK and Ukraine.
This is not the first such incident: in September 2025, the plant was also subjected to a drone attack, as a result of which a gas pipeline, one of the workshops, and a fire station were damaged.
