An unusual product was noticed in one of Minsk's supermarkets – olive oil, the price of which, when converted to liters, reaches almost 1000 rubles, writes Tochka.by.

A small bottle with a volume of 40 ml is sold for 37.99 rubles. If you convert the price per liter, it turns out to be more than 949 rubles, which caused surprise among buyers.

According to the information on the packaging, the product contains 88% cold-pressed olive oil, as well as garlic and chili pepper. The product is infused with these spices, and it is also indicated that it may contain traces of peanuts. There are no particularly expensive or rare ingredients in the composition.

The oil is produced in Italy and supplied to both Belarus and Russia.

It is assumed that the high price is primarily due to the original packaging: the bottle is made in the shape of a woman's high-heeled shoe, which makes the product more of a souvenir than a regular food item.
