Today, the Peace Council summit is scheduled to begin in Washington, to which Alexander Lukashenka was also invited. His press secretary, Natalia Eismant, said that he would not fly, citing logistical difficulties and a formed work schedule.

Yes, we would gladly visit the United States of America, but there are issues that cannot be postponed. In addition, we take into account possible logistical difficulties that may arise due to illegal sanctions, primarily from the European Union — considering the closure of airspace over the EU.»
