Both Belarusians were unable to play their matches on Tuesday, March 3, as sounds of explosions were heard over the courts. As a result, the organizers decided to completely cancel both tournaments.
The former Belarusian number one player Ilya Ivashka reacted to this news on his Instagram page. He quoted the content of a letter sent by ATP to participants in the UAE competitions. According to him, ATP offers tennis players evacuation to Milan on a charter with a stopover in Egypt. However, a seat on the plane will cost 5000 euros.
"No words," says Ilya.
