Saudi Arabia and Kyiv prepare "giant deal" amidst Iranian threat

As reported by The Kyiv Independent, Saudi Arabia has signed a contract with Kyiv for the supply of Ukrainian interceptor missiles, and currently, the parties are finalizing an even larger agreement. According to sources in the Ukrainian defense industry, this "giant deal" could be finalized by the end of the current week.

The main reason for Saudi Arabia's interest in Ukrainian developments is Kyiv's unique expertise in countering Iranian drones.

Today, Ukraine possesses the world's greatest experience in effectively destroying 'Shahed' type drones, which Iranian forces regularly use to attack Saudi oil infrastructure.

The use of Ukrainian interceptor missiles will allow the kingdom to create a cheaper and more effective layered air defense system, without relying solely on expensive American Patriot complexes.

This rapprochement comes at a time of acute crisis in the Middle East: the demand for effective means of defense against Iranian weapons has increased manifold.

For Ukraine, such an agreement means not only financial support for the defense sector but also the de facto creation of a military-technical alliance with one of the richest countries in the world.
